Brett M. Scotch, D.O., F.A.O.C.O
Dr. Brett Scotch completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville where he graduated Cum Laude. He then received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Following medical school, Dr. Scotch completed a one year internship in Miami and then went on to complete a five year residency in Otorhinolaryngology (Ear, Nose, & Throat or ENT) / Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery at Michigan State University Affiliated Hospitals.
Dr. Scotch is American Board Certified in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic Surgery. He is Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine. His research work has been nationally published and he has presented at major ENT and medical conventions throughout the country. In addition to general ENT care, he also has special practice interest in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing problems and snoring, as well as allergies affecting the ears, nose, sinuses, and throat.
Dr. Scotch is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery/ENT for the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Scotch is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, the American Osteopathic Association, the Florida Network of Otolaryngologists, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, and is on 2010 Board of Directors for the Hillsborough County Osteopathic Medical Society.
Dr. Scotch has been serving the medical and surgical needs of Tampa patients since 2005. Prior to establishing ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery Specialists, P.L., he served as a Major in the United States Air Force Medical Corps where he cared for military personnel, their families, and military retirees at the MacDill Air Force Base Hospital. He also served as the medical director of the MacDill Air Force Base Sleep Laboratory and directed audiology services. Dr. Scotch was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Meritorious service medal. He is married with 2 children.
